Vaccine links

For those that wondered(I did get a couple of emails about this), here are some wonderful articles concerning vaccinating puppies as well as the information on the new protocol for adults dogs.

I follow this protocol, for the most part. A lot depends on the dogs, what they do, where they travel and what vaccinations they have had before, if they haven't been with me their whole lives. The biggest change overall is that for most puppies, it's not recommended to give a first series of shots at 6 weeks of age. I think that goes along with the change in the fact that most breeders don't sell puppies at 6 weeks old but most hold their puppies till they are 9-10 weeks old.
