We had some wicked skys that day. I love the rainbow effect - looks better when you blow it up. I am going to see if I can find the other pics we took that show the "ripple" effect that was produced earlier in the evening.

The wandering thoughts of a mother, wife, sister, daughter, friend, volunteer and crazy dog lady. Come, sit, have a cup of tea with a smidge of dog hair, while I talk kids, dogs, horses, 4-H, legislation and well, just anything else that jumps out at me.

what a wonderful shot. I love cloud pictures. The colors in the photo are amazing.
The main photo on the blog was taken the same day, about an hour earlier. The skywatch photo looks south, the main photo looks west. It was so cool to sit and watch the different colors come and go as the sun started setting.
Thanks for visiting!
It still looks beautiful. I like the color.
Great pic, I love your header pic as well

Beautiful Mammatus clouds! One of my favorite types of clouds! Happy sky watching!
Stunning - love the color of the clouds - and their texture - especially in contrast to the green foreground. Lovely post.
