Beware vicious snuggle bunny

Was chatting with Karen yesterday about how she misses her snuggle bunny aka Cora.  I mentioned that yes, she spend the other night draped across my chest so that I could not breath all night.
But I also mentioned that while she and Eddie are in the bedroom lounging all day long, there's an another evil creature in there with them.....the vicious snuggle bunny.   Kind, quiet, and peaceful Cora goes all Dexter during the day as the following evidence shows....

Poor gator, never stood a chance.

The bodies are everywhere.
Yes, that is the serial killer in the crate.  David came home and wasn't sure what happened so stuck her in Max's den until I got home.
Barney lost an eye and she was working on the other one.  Gator, cheetah and I think a teddy bear all lost their lives yesterday.  Now the victim selectino is on purpose, she's been attacking my bed skirt, have to divert her attention elsewhere.  The kids have instructions to throw as many victims in as they can before we leave in the morning.
This morning, as I peaked in before I left, she had a teddy bear begging for his life.
Sigh...the vacuum is getting a work out these days.

I'm a little concerned

I'm just not sure if Click is fitting in at her new home??!!

True diva style, she kicked Cubby to the floor!   I'm pretty certain she's being spoiled rotten and charming everyone, especially her new best friend, the youngest in the family.  Good families are hard to find, great ones like this are one in a million!

Something smells?

Okay, so maybe he is spoiled, just a little.  Never mind, I'll admit it, he's stinkin' rotten.

Most of you know who I'm talking about, Mal aka Smelly.

Got home late last night due to grocery shopping.  People were complaining while standing at the open fridge door full of food, that there was nothing to eat.  Go figure.  So anyway, I guess Mr Smelly was out of his crate(dry for a change) and romping with the old ladies in the front room.  I also guess he had a fit earlier when he got his foot "stuck" in his crate.  Tall Kid walked in, looked at him and said stop-pull your foot out.  With no sympathy available, he stopped, looked at his foot and pulled it back out of the crate bar.   Drama King!

I also hear that he was moaning and groaning and laying on his back, feet braced in the crate corners, 'cause life is so hard for him.

I walked in the door, found him or should I say he found me and would not let me go anywhere.  Shadow is an understatement.  I tripped over him, stepped on him and was stopped dead in my tracks many times due to his black fuzzy body.  Nothing, nothing was settled in the house until I sat in the lazy boy.

Then I still got more shit from the kids.  Smelly came over, bumped me with his nose(he does that all the time) and then gently placed his front feet on my lap so I couple "help" him up.  Yeah, yeah, yeah, I hear ya.  He's spoiled.

Now I was able to eat my pork burger with not much a sniff in my direction but the moment that Hubby got the blood orange out and started peeling it, you would have thought it was steak night for Mal.  He was almost crawling over the arms of the rocking chair with a stare that could have burned holes in Hubby's sweater.  Yes, he got a couple bites.  The second orange?  Hubby gave him a whole section.  He played with hit then dropped it on the floor, stared at me and said, I can't eat it this way.  I walked in the kitchen, cut it in half and he ate each piece.  Spoiled, I know.

I guess the other issue is that I left the room while his back was turned to me and when he looked back, I was gone.  He whined, looked very worried and I had to come around the corner and let him know where I was, just in the kitchen.  Yeap, he got a very relieved look on his face and ran into the kitchen, nosepoked me and sat in my path.

Nah, he's not Smelly, he's so spoiled he's rancid!

Happy Birthday!

Sending a shout out to the Ms on her 15th Birthday!   She made her own, sort of, birthday cakes yesterday.  Mini cakes that is, about 6 dozen.   4-H tonight and she's gotta do a presentation and is hostess, so figured what could be more fun then having the kids all decorate their own cupcakes!

15?  Eeek!  Now if she will only read her driver's manual so she can go get her permit!

Itchy and Scratchy

In an attempt to get back on a more regular blogging schedule, this installment is the battle of the humidity.

I have turned off the dehumidifiers in the house.  Yes we run them during the winter.  For some reason, gosh dogs maybe, we tend to be overally humid in the house.   But this year, off.  Possibly thinking about running a humidifier in the dog room too.  Shocking, no?  Yes, static electricity abounds.

The drought has done us no favors, only 6" or so of snow but rain predicted today, thank you God!    With that, the dogs are molting at an unusual time of year and are horribly dry in their coats.  They get fish oil.  They get a top quality high fat dog food during the winter.  We supplement with other items.  But five of the dogs are just blowing coat, beyond naked.  Abbey first, now sporting her summer wear, Moose is still blowing guard hairs and a naked Moose is a sight to see.  Granted he never carries a lot of coat, but this is just ugly.  Tuli is down to a rat tail and still tufting a little on her neck.  But the worst of them all is Granny Phoebe.  She rolls on the floor and leaves a hairy reminder of her stay there.  And itching.  Itches and rolls and scratches and rubs.

She got a oatmeal and tea tree oil bath.  She's got the last of the emu oil spray.  I've run out of cottonballs for the tea tree oil.   And last night she went so hard on one spot that she's now got a bloody hole in her shoulder.  I'm about to vet wrap her entire body!   So it's shave the shoulder, peroxide, tea tree and per Doc, time for a medicated bath--lucky I have head-n-shoulders in the house.  That or out to the barn for the M-T-G that we use on the Clydes scratches.

Oh and stock in benadryl.  A sleepy granny doesn't itch as much.   I've never had it this bad.   Just the amount of hair being blown and the timing.   And before you ask, yes we've checked for other things but two of the girls blowing are doing their post season blows.  Tuli does it out of sympathy.  Moose?  Who knows.

I'm now taking rain dance lessons--for once, I'd rather have the mud then the dry itchy dogs.

Slap my hand

Pam said I've forsaken the blog.  No not really, just massive chaos these last couple of weeks.  So blizzard, then a 3 day work week, then New Years and off for the St Paul shows.  Working in accounting, we were in the middle of month end, year end, 1099's and new properties.  Calgon, take me away!

I should be back in full blogger mode next week, but until then here's a tidbit.

St Paul--Wash goes WD/BOW Friday and Saturday for majors, Mal was WD on Sunday.   Sweeps, Mal beat Wash but Seamus beat us all, sigh.  Cora was select on Friday and Sunday for two major grand wins and one competition win.  And we ran with the akita, up and down the stairs with the bedlington and now, I'm tired.

More later--just gotta find the time to words to computer.

Psssttt----best news ever shortly.   David's gonna lose his chair again soon!

Just sayin'....
